Joh Nyx is a dancer, researcher and community development worker from Melbourne. She was the primary artist and project manager of Love letters to Loss that premiered at the Melbourne Writers Festival (MWF) 2018 and Letters to my broken heart at MWF in September 2019. Joh completed a masters of Community Cultural Development at the VCA in 2013. She is a founding member of One Trick Pony a green room award winning circus/physical theatre company, who’s show Carousel toured nationally and internationally to critical acclaim. One Trick Pony’s second full length Til premiered in November 2019 at the Abbotsford Convent to a sell out season. Joh is also one half of Glitter and Snatch, a dance physical theatre duet that perform regularly in night clubs and cabaret venues around Melbourne and rural Victoria. Joh's previous project management experience includes working as the arts manager for the Asylum Seeker Resource Center and as a project manager for rural projects at West Side Circus in 2010.
Joh is currently studying to be a funeral celebrant and death worker.
